The founder of Medical Catalyst Group is David Macdonald.
Mr. Macdonald provides 25 years of international entrepreneurial leadership experience in the clinical diagnostics industry; seventeen of those years in CEO and COO roles. A former Vice President at Quest Diagnostics, Mr. Macdonald specializes in creating high performance teams that achieve aggressive goals in product and laboratory service environments. These teams have successfully developed, cleared and launched hundreds of medical products and services sold directly in the United States and Western Europe, as well as through independent distribution relationships worldwide.
Mr. Macdonald has led extensive merger and acquisition activity, culture integration, joint ventures, spin-outs, start-ups and turn-around situations. He has been an invited speaker at UC Berkeley, Stanford University and numerous trade shows and investor conferences. Mr. Macdonald also participates as an Executive in Residence in the San Diego CONNECT Springboard program and was formerly a member of the Siemens Medical Solutions Strategic Advisory Board.
